Merrimack County Savings Bank Foundation Announces Grants to Area OrganizationsCONCORD, NH - July 3, 2007 - The Merrimack County Savings Bank Foundation recently made grants totaling over $28,800 to ten organizations within Merrimack County for the first of two grant periods in 2007, according to today’s announcement by bank president Ronald A. Wilbur. Recipients included the following organizations which operate for the benefit of residents living in Merrimack County, and which had made application to the Foundation for funding: Bishop Brady High School, Concord Boys & Girls Club, Concord Hospital, Friends of Concord City Auditorium, Girls Incorporated of NH, Henniker Youth Theatre, New Hampshire Association for the Blind, New Hampshire Children’s Trust, New Hampshire Food Bank, and Pittsfield Youth Workshop. In making today’s announcement, Wilbur stated, “The Foundation was established in 1997 on the occasion of the bank’s 130th anniversary with the purpose of providing perpetual financial support to the communities in which the bank does business. It is one way in which we give back to the communities which have helped us grow and prosper over the years.” Applications for grants are received by the Foundation twice annually, with deadlines of April 1 and October 1. Not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organizations interested in making funding requests to the Foundation should contact Merrimack County Savings Bank.
